Noooo! Not again!

News (unsubstantiated rumour?) leaked today by the bastion of truth and justice that is The Sun, reveals that not only is The Master returning (again played by John Simm - yay!) but La Piper will return and will be accompanied by Catherine Tate and Freema Agyeman.

So, what was all that tosh about the boundaries between universes not being traversable and never again will Rose and The Doc meet??? Never let the established facts or a previously good story stand in the way of another wacky idea, eh, Russell? Doomsday had a corker of an ending which is increasingly watered down by repeated returns of the one who could never return.

Anyway, it'll be great to see John Simm return as The Master, maybe toned down a notch from the manic megalomaniac madman of Last of The Timelords. And it will be wonderful to see Donna return one way or another - the only new series companion that I actually DO want to see again. Freema was fab as Martha, but I think her story really has been played out and she voluntarily left - several times!

Anyhoo... bring it on, this fan boy can't wait to see how 10 meets his end and how 11 will pick the weighty mantle of Britain's most popular icon! :-)

You do realize that The Sun is not what you call a sure source of information. All of this are just rumors.

For my concern, I'll be very pleased to see the Master again (played by Simm, wonderful performance) but as you wrote here, Rose and Martha doesn't need to have a comeback. It has already been done. I hope that Russel T Davies will not make this mistake.

John Simm will regenerate as well as David Tennant and Timothy Dalton will take over as the master!

The Timothy Dalton rumour is just that... a rumour. I prefer the rumour that says he'll be playing the Lord chancellor of the Time Lords... ;-)

Sorry to burst your bubble but its not a rumour but a fact!
Check out IMDB for the cast for the episode to be aired on New Years day. With both John Simm and Timothy Dalton cast as The Master!
Also in that episode will be Rose, Jackie, Captain Jack, Donna, Sarah Jane and Luke.
Jessica Hynes is also cast again but not as Joan Redfern.

It's official when the BBC says it's official. I'll take anything published like that with a huge portion of salt. I'm not saying it's wrong (or that I don't like the idea), only that at this stage it's rumour, i.e. unsubstantiated tittle-tattle.

Personally i hate the idea. John Simm should be the master for ever!
As should David Tennant be the Doctor for ever!
My daughter ends up losing all her favourite actors in one day!
Not a Happy New years day for her!

Why does RTD keep insisting on bringing back Rose?!?! And Donna, so soon? It just cheapens the previous stories.

And Now For The News...
